Welcome to Prairie Oak Ranch, a total horsemanship training centre with a focus on cutting.

Owner/manager Cub Wright is the riding instructor at Prairie Oak, and the 2008 Canadian Open Cutting Champion, the first woman ever to hold the title.

Situated near Okotoks, Alberta, Canada, the ranch facilities include an indoor heated arena and barn, outdoor square and round pens and plenty of open ranch land on which to ride and enjoy your horse. The ranch staff also accesses the amazing riding country in the Alberta foothills for day rides and overnight trips with students.

The instructional program at Prairie Oak Ranch offers beginner, intermediate and advanced riders of all ages the opportunity to advance their riding skills. The program is also geared to design individual programs for riders and horses to prepare them to be competitive in the cutting pen.

A bad cow cut good is better than a good cow cut bad
