Welcome to Prairie Oak Ranch, a total horsemanship training centre with a focus on cutting and the western life style.

Owner/manager Cub Wright is the riding instructor at Prairie Oak, and the 2008 Canadian Open Cutting Champion, one of three woman in over 40 years to have won this title. Cub is a world renowned trainer, coach and clinician and has had students travel from Switzerland, Japan, Germany, Australia, Sweden and Brazil to ride with her. Situated near Okotoks, 30 minutes south of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, the ranch facilities include an indoor heated arena and barn, outdoor square and round pens and plenty of open ranch land on which to ride and enjoy your horse. The ranch staff also accesses the amazing riding country in the Alberta foothills for day rides with students.

The instructional program at Prairie Oak Ranch offers beginner, intermediate and advanced riders of all ages the opportunity to advance their riding skills, be it recreational or competitive.

 Working Equitation Clinic starts Wednesday Nov.14,2018 and will continue for 6 Wednesdays A.M and P.M. We have every obstacle except the bank, come and share in some great tips to improve your scores in the EOH class.

Ride on the Wild Side with Lee McLean will be scheduled February 16 2019. Those that attended the intro clinic in August will be given, priority. Lessons will be available following this clinic. Details will be posted before Christmas so that a gift certificate can be purchased making your Christmas shopping just that much easier.
